Monday, Feb. 18 is President’s Day, a Federal holiday designated to recognize past Presidents birthdays. It was originally known as Washington’s Birthday and is celebrated the third Monday of February every year.

Here is what is closed on President’s Day:

Schools; Government Buildings: post office; most banks, but your smaller local bank may be open so check with them.

 4.     Maple Sugaring Demo

The Rye Nature Center will have a maple sugaring demonstration on Feb. 16. Call the RNC at 914.967.5150 for more information.

5. Dose of the Dead at the Cap

Visit the Capitol Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 16 for a “dose of the dead.” They will be playing an unreleased 1971 Grateful Dead show recorded at The Cap along with a light show at 8 p.m. Read the details here.
