Ice Rink Public Hearing Set; Coffee with Dr. A; DJ Night

Five things you need to know to for the second half of the week, Jan. 9 -13.

1. Public Hearing on Reckson Ice Rink

The Rye Board of Trustees voted to hold a public hearing on Jan. 22 regarding the proposed at the current Reckson Executive Park at 1100 King Street at the village board meeting last night.

2. DJ NIGHT - GAMES, PRIZES & MORE

Program Site: Damiano Recreation Center
It’s back!!! Enjoy a night of “hanging out” at the Recreation Center!! Dance to music spun by our DJ, play some pool, show your  Guitar Hero” chops, or just relax with friends! It’s all here. Refreshments

Winter Baseball

From Rye Rec: Grades 3 - 5
Thu, Jan. 10 - Feb. 14, 6:15 - 7:15 p.m.
Program site: Midland School Gym
Fee: $130 resident, $155 non-resident
Join the coaches from Frozen Ropes for this baseball program. Objective is to improve player confidence and skills through a program of pre-game clinics.

3. Blind Brook Revised Calendar

The Blind Brook School district released a change to the school calendar – March 25 is now a Superintendent’s Conference Day (no student attendance). Going forward, if school is closed due to inclement weather this may result in instructional days being scheduled during the week of March 25.

4. Coffee with Dr. Alvarez

Rye City School District superintendent Dr. Frank Alvarez will be at the Osborn School at 9:15 a.m. to host “coffee with Dr. A” today. Click here to view the other dates you can stop by for a cup of Joe with the superintendent.

5. Sunny and Clear

The National Weather Service forecasts another beautiful day with sunny skies and a high near 50 degrees. On Thursday, you can expect sun together with a high of around 45. Rain is expected to come in on Friday but be gone by Saturday, which should be partly sunny with a high near 53. Sunday will be just as nice as Saturday until the evening, when there is a chance of showers. Enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and sunshine as you finish off the week.
