Boston University Student from Rye Found Dead Thursday

Police are investigating the death of 19-year-old Michael DeVito

Michael DeVito, a 19-year old student from Rye was found dead in a fraternity house near Boston University's campus Thursday.

DeVito, a sophomore at the university and member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, was unconscious when police arrived on the scene to respond to a call at the fraternity house on 50 Gardner Street,  according to BU Today, the university's news Web site.

Emergency medical technicians were already at the house when police arrived and began applying CPR. An ambulance took DeVito to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Boston University Police Chief Thomas Robbins said there is no evidence of foul play. The death is being investigated by Boston Police.
