Hudson Valley Restaurant Week Will Run Its Spring 2014 Program From March 10 Through 23

The spring program of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week will be held from March 10 through March 23, 2014; a second (fall) program will be conducted in November.

For both the spring and fall two-week programs, the cost to dine remains the same as last year: $29.95 for a three-course, prix-fixe dinner (appetizer, main course, dessert) and $20.95 for a three-course lunch. Beverages from coffee to cocktails, tax and gratuity are additional.

The 2014 registration fee to be paid by restaurants is $800 for the spring or fall program or $1,500 to participate in both the spring and fall programs. The spring deadline for eateries to sign up is January 31, 2014.

The names of restaurants participating in a program are usually posted on the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week website about six weeks before the program debuts; lunch and dinner reservations are generally accepted starting on or near to a month before.

More than 150 restaurants are expected to participate in the spring program. Many but not all of the restaurants post their menus on the HVRW website. Many restaurants accept reservations through Open Table, accessible through the HVRW website.

The following New York State counties are represented: Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster and Columbia. Connecticut restaurants are also invited to take part.

At all restaurants, diners can opt to order from the regular menu instead of the prix-fixe HVRW menu.

The fall program runs from November 3 through November 16, 2014.
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is conducted by The Valley Table, a food and culinary magazine headquartered in Newburgh, NY.
