Greenwich, Conn.—October 3, 2013—As part of an ongoing series that brings fresh insights and viewpoints to the local public relations community, the Westchester/Fairfield Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America will present David Burkus, author of Myths of Creativity: The Truth About How Innovative Companies and People Generate Ideas. The first ten people to register for the luncheon event—to be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16 at the Rye Grill and Bar (One Station Plaza in Rye, N.Y.)—will receive a free copy of the book.
Mr. Burkus, an assistant professor of management at the College of Business at Oral Roberts University, teaches courses on creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and organizational behavior. His work has been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Psychology Today, Fast Company and the Harvard Business Review. He has spoken on leadership and creativity to such diverse groups as Fortune 500 companies, startups and the U.S. Naval Academy.
