THE MARINER CELEBRATES ONE YEAR IN PORT CHESTER

The Mariner, Port Chester’s new waterfront residential building with LEED Silver Certification, has just reached its one-year anniversary. The building’s first residents moved into their apartments in mid-October 2012 and the building became fully leased in July 2013. While the building is all but fully occupied, Rose Associates is now handling renewals and leasing newly vacated one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Located at Willett and Abendroth avenues, The Mariner is located directly within Port Chester’s vibrant shopping and dining district and is just a short walk to Metro North’s New Haven line. The waterfront building offers generously proportioned residences that feature condominium-level finishes.

“The Mariner received a very positive response from renters in Westchester County, and we also have many residents who relocated from New York and Stamford,” said Carol Jones, a portfolio director at Rose, the property’s exclusive leasing and marketing agent. “This building mirrors the excitement of downtown Port Chester and has helped to solidify the town’s resurgence.”

The Mariner’s 100 spacious apartments have nine-foot ceilings, and many of them feature spectacular views overlooking the Byram River. Each apartment offers white-oak floors; Whirlpool stainless steel appliances; a washer and dryer; and Moen- and Kohler-equipped bathrooms with tiled walls and floors. The building also features a fitness center, landscaped roof deck and resident lounge. The Mariner has 149 parking spots reserved for residents at no additional cost, and also offers 22 dedicated boat slips that tenants can rent on a seasonal basis.

Port Chester, which lies between Rye, N.Y., and Greenwich, Conn., has been a center of significant retail and residential renewal over the past 10 years. The Mariner is located alongside a number of the town’s independent restaurants, bars and specialty food stores. Mario Batali’s Tarry Lodge and Tarry Market are just steps from The Mariner, as is the highly popular Bar Taco. The building also offers direct access to a beautiful waterfront parkway that leads to “The Waterfront at Port Chester,” a retail, dining and entertainment complex featuring a 14-screen Loews Theater, a variety of restaurants, a Super Stop & Shop, and a number of retailers including Bed Bath & Beyond and Costco.
