As the kicked off its 10th Mega Mixer business networking event Thursday, Westchester County Executive told members of the business community that one of the most important jobs of government in 2012 will be to "get out of the way" of business.
Astorino cut the ceremonial red ribbon to open the Mega Mixer at the and he was also the keynote speaker at the event, which has grown to a giant networking opportunity that attracts businesses from throughout Westchester and beyond.
"We in government on every level — federal, state and local — must really do everything possible to get out of your way. Becasue when government gets inovled too often we put up road blocks and hinder your ability to succeed," Astorino said. "So we're trying to get out of your way as best that we can or help you when it actually feels like help."
