'Project Style' Competition Comes to Ridge Hill

If you love fashion and creative design that evokes personality and creativity then you will definitely want to head to Westchester's Ridge Hill this Friday Sept. 14 as the shopping mecca will host their "Style Off" event, a live contest which will determine the winner of the 2012 “Project Style” Competition.

Over the course of the summer, Ridge Hill’s Project Style online fashion competition produced four finalists whose creative outfit submissions were rated by online voters and now these four finalists will be invited back to Ridge Hill to compete for the grand prize of $1,000 Ridge Hill gift card.

The winner of this round will go on to compete nationally among other finalists chosen from Forest City shopping centers throughout the country, for a National Grand prize that includes a trip for two to New York City during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in February 2013.

Fashion expert Jeannie Mai will act as a celebrity judge for the Style-Off and sign autographs at the event.

The panel of celebrity judges will also include professional colorist and , owner of Julius Michael Scarsdale hair salon and winner of 2012 Westchester Magazine Best of Westchester voters' pick for Best Colorist and editors' pick for Best Salon.

Each of the contestants has been given a $200 gift card with which to create a unique outfit for the Style Off. The audience will watch live as a panel of celebrity judges chooses a winner from among the competing stylists.

The contestants aren’t the only ones who will be winning prizes as Ridge Hill is offering a variety of bonuses to the shoppers who attend the event.

The first 100 guests that arrive to the Style Off will get a Ridge Hill swag bag filled with coupons and products from participating stores.

Selected Ridge Hill restaurants and eateries will be serving complementary food and beverages for the duration of the event and the evening will be capped off with an after party held at Republic of Couture for more fashion fun and surprises.

The event begin on Friday Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m. with Jeannie Mai Autograph signing followed by the competition from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and all festivities will be taking place in the "Town Square" between Cheesecake Factory and Brio Tuscan Grille.
