Playland Serves as Metro-North Parking During Service Disruption

What the Metro North is calling "special service" is still in effect for New Haven line riders because the temporary substations installed by Con Edison are not sufficient to operate the full New Haven Line Service. Because the substations are at reduced power, the Metro North can only add a limited number of trains through the 8-mile section between Harrison and Mount Vernon, providing about 50 percent of normal service.

Find train times using this special service schedule.

Customers should expected crowded trains and longer travel times, MTA warns. Loop bus service is being provided between Rye and Harrison stations for intermediate travel.

The Metro North is directing customers to utilize its "8,600 Park and Ride Plan" created in conjunction with Westchester County, the New York State Department of Transportation, the City of New York, New York City Transit, the MTA Police Department and local police forces.
