Peachwave Yogurt Continues Effort to Move to Rye

A Danbury resident is hoping to bring a Peachwave Franchise to Purchase Street.

After traffic concerns shut down a hopeful Peachwave Yogurt franchise owner Gregg Roberts in March, he returned to the Rye Planning Commission last night to seek approval for a new location, 100 Purchase Street, the 1,9000 square-foot former bank building.

The applicant is proposing outdoor seating and to landscape the area but the Commission had garbage pickup, sidewalk and parking concerns. The Commission decided to do a site walk on Sept. 7 to check out the property and consider the hopeful owner’s plans.
