MTA Fare Hikes Take Effect Today

Monthly passes in Rye and Port Chester will increase $15.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will implement the much-dreaded fare hikes today, March 1. 

Rye and Port Chester commuters will need to dish out $15 more for monthly passes, $5.25 more for weekly passes, $10 for 10-trip peak passes, $6.25 more for 10-trip off-peak passes; $1 more for peak one-way tickets and 75 cents more for an off peak ticket.
