Miriam's Attic Opens Select Saturdays

A press release from The Osborn retirement community.

Mirani's attic is pleased to announce that it will open one Saturday a month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from April until October. The Shop will be open the first Saturday of the month, except in July, when it will open the second Saturday because of the fourth of July hoilday.

"Our customers are always asking when we will open on Saturdays. We accommodated their requests by opening on more Saturday this year. We hope it will be easier for more people to shop with us," said Susan Olson, Fund Development Coordinator at The Osborn.

Miriam’s Attic, which is staffed by volunteers, is open to the public every Tuesday year-round and features quality furniture, household and kitchen items, women’s jewelry, scarves, and handbags plus much, much more.  Miriam’s Attic opened in December 2008 to benefit The Osborn’s Charity Care Program which serves those who move to The Osborn with little or no ability to pay for their stay as well as those who have outlived their resources due to illness or advanced age.  The Charity Care Program also enables members of the community with little or no ability to pay for their care to receive services from Osborn Home Care.

The Osborn is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization and all of the proceeds from Miriam’s Attic benefit The Osborn’s Charity Care Program. Donations to Miriam’s Attic are tax-deductible and are accepted every Tuesday when the shop is open or by appointment. To make a donation or for further information, please contact Susan Olson at 925-8372 or solson@theosborn.org

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Let's look at the appropriateness of this post. First, it's clearly an ad because it points to aRead More specific insurance agent at a specific agency to contact. Second, it attempts to hide being an ad behind what may be useful information (or not). Third, the "person" who posted it doesn't use their real name. Instead, they use a pseudonym Divorce Information NOW. That doesn’t seem terribly reassuring to me. This the third advertising post on the “announcements” space since Rye Patch converted to the new site layout. Seems a bit of a mess to me. But hopefully someone will come along and figure out who the real poster is, their link to the advertised agent and agency, and then delete the post. After all, if it’s an ad, it should be labeled as such and the poster should pay for having it run. If that doesn’t happen, Patch won’t be able to pay its employees to keep real content on the site.

Don't feel so bad. The Patch doesn't even acknowledge that PC is a waterfront community. We've allRead More been shorted.
