Four Prominent Business Leaders Elected to The Business Council of Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, NY (January 2013) – The Business Council of Westchester (BCW), the county’s premier business advocacy and membership organization, has announced the election of four prominent business leaders to its Board of Directors: Elected to serve three-year terms were: William Marsillo, Ralph Martinelli, Andy Tung and Laura Woznitski.

“We are thrilled to have these individuals join us on the Board where their expertise in their respective fields will help us steward the efforts and direction of the Business Council as we advocate for our current and potential members in the county,” said  Business Council of Westchester President and CEO Marsha Gordon.

William Marsillo is a partner with the law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP in Armonk  He has represented clients in federal and state courts in a variety of matters involving business torts, contract disputes, RICO, securities fraud and other fraud allegations, criminal investigations, intellectual property and partnership disputes.  He is a graduate of Harvard Law School where he was the Lead Editor of the Journal of Law and Technology. In 2007, he was the recipient of a ‘Rising Star’ award from the Business Council of Westchester.

 Ralph Martinelli is publisher of Westchester Magazine, Hudson Valley Magazine, Westchester Home, 914 Inc. and Westchester/Hudson Valley Weddings.  Additionally, he is Vice President of Today Media, Inc, a newly formed company including Delaware Today and Mainline Today magazines as well as Media Two, a custom publishing company in Baltimore. As publisher of Westchester Magazine, Mr. Martinelli has launched numerous countywide events including The Best of Westchester and the annual Wine & Food Weekend.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Arts Westchester and Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation.

Andy Tung is a partner at Divney Tung Schwalbe, LLP, a multidisciplinary land planning firm based in White Plains. He has over 30 years of experience in environmental planning, regulatory processing and project management for institutional, corporate and developer clients. Mr. Tung is a registered landscape architect and an LEED (leadership in energy and environmental design) accredited professional.  He has a BA in Architecture from Yale University, a Master of Landscape Architecture from The University of Virginia and a Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law.  He also serves as president of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation.

Laura Woznitski is a senior director of leasing and development for BioMed Realty Trust, the owner of the Landmark at Eastview complex.  She has managed real estate debt, equity and corporate real estate portfolios in her real estate career for Fortune 500 companies and prior to her current position, completed 1.2 million square feet of development projects, 2.5 million square feet of Class-A office improvements, and participated in more than $1 billion of commercial real estate capital transactions.  She has a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an M.S. from New York University and is also an LEED Accredited Professional.
