Taste of the Market

From press release:

Le Pain Quotidien has joined forces with the Rye Farmers Market, managed by Community Markets, to host a "Taste of the Market" party at their 30 Purchase Street location in Rye. The event, which will highlight food from local growers, bakers and food artisans who sell at the Sunday farmers market, will be held from 2pm to 5pm on September 18.

"We like to offer opportunities for our market supporters to "Know their Farmer" either in person and/or through the fresh products that they sell." says Frankie Rowland of Community Markets. "Whether they're regular farmers market shoppers or just curious passers by, everyone is welcome to stop in, try some food, listen to music and learn more about the market."
Complimentary light appetizers featuring fresh, local ingredients from the farmers market will be prepared by the chefs at Le Pain Quotidien. "We are thrilled to join forces with Community Markets to celebrate our shared commitment to fresh, local foods, sustainability, and creating a space where the community can share around our communal table," says Cai Pandolfino of Le Pain Quotidien. In addition to the food, entertainment will be provided by Deuces Child, a local acoustic duo who has built a following at the Rye Farmers Market this season with their amusing interplay and harmonic vocals.
