One Woman's Gift, Rye Women's Interfaith Committee Stories and Tea

The Rye Women's Interfaith Committe will host an afternoon of stories with renowned storytellers followed by an elegant tea.  Featured guests will be:

  • Carol Birch, internationally recognized storyteller, will tell the story of Luba:  the Angel of Bergen-Belsen
  • Andrea Davis Pinkney, award winning author, will read from her book, Sojourner Truth's Step-Stomp Stride
  • Donna Harvey, Children's Librarian, will tell the story of Mama Miti:  Wangari Maathai and the Trees of Kenya by Donna Jo Napoli.

Book copies will be available for purchase.  The tea following will offer an opportunity to linger and consider what contributions can be made to benefit the world.
