Business Expo Mega Mixer Celebrating 10th Anniversary in Rye

The Business Council of Westchester is making the 10th Business Expo Mega Mixer a very special occasion later today.

The is hoping Thursday's Business Expo Mega Mix will attract a wide range of vendors and visitors to its tenth anniversary event at the this afternoon. After a special opening from County Executive Rob Astorino, the event will officially open at 2 p.m.

Last year, more than 200 vendors held court for nearly 1800 visitors to the Rye Town Hilton event and this one will have just as many representatives. The event is set primarily to encourage business-to-business

"The Mega Mixer Business Expo is all about business growth," said Hillary Millman of the Business Council of Westchester. "It's an unparalleled opportunity for attendees and exhibitors to connect with hundreds of business owners and professionals, to market or find products and services, discover the benefits of "going green," learn from experts, and really expand their network of contacts and further develop the relationships that help their businesses grow.

Millman said the real purpose of the event "is to give businesses whatever it is they need to grow." Many of the attendees come to the event looking for products and services they need to expand their businesses.

Millman said this tenth anniversary event will be very special. County Executive Rob Astorino open the event at 1p.m. with “Conversation with the County Executive,” followed by an in-depth Q&A session. At 2 p.m., Astorino will preside over a red-ribbon cutting to kick off the afternoon's events.

“Having the County Executive join us to launch our 10th anniversary Mega Mixer is an honor, and a very unique opportunity for members and attendees to engage in a dialogue about the issues that matter most to the Westchester business community,” said Dr. Marsha Gordon, Business Council of Westchester President/CEO.

Both the “[A] Conversation with the County Executive” or the “Competing in 2012 and Beyond - How To Win In A Challenging Economy” panel event for no charge. However, admission to the Mega Mixer Business Expo is $10. The cost to exhibit is $455 for BCW members, $600 for future members, and $300 for not-for-profit members.

"At 3:30, the executive chef from the Hilton will do a cooking demonstration from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in the Town of Rye room," said Millman. "We're hosting a "Competing in 2012 and Beyond" panel event featuring experts in the fields of strategic planning, customer service, social media, building business through referrals and small business lending... and one business owner who put it all together to take his business to the next level."
