New Rochelle: 2013 New Rochelle Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony
Place: Library Plaza, New Rochelle.

When: Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
Description: Seven new interpretive signs honoring nine people with ties to New Rochelle will be unveiled. The honorees include E.L. Doctorow, Jay Leno and Carl Reiner. There are other activities before and after the induction ceremony.

Port Chester: Max Creek
Place: The Capitol Theatre
When: Saturday, April 27, doors at 6:30 p.m. and show at 8 p.m.
Description: Check out American rock band Max Creek, whose members have been playing together for more than forty years. The soulful music is jammy rock music with a flavor of blues.
Price: Tickets are $40, $30 and $25
Rivertowns: RiverArts 2013 Studio Tour
Place: Dobbs Ferry, Irvington, Hastings-on-Hudson
When: Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Description: More than 80 local artists will have their work on display in various locations throughout the three river villages. Click here for map and more on the 20th annual studio tour, sponsored by RiverArts.

Tuckahoe: 1st Annual ValWalk
Place: 15 Marble Pl, Tuckahoe, NY
When: Saturday, April 27 at 8 a.m.
Description: ValWalk will be held April 27, 2013. There will be 1 mile and 2.5 mile courses, both starting at Shiloh Baptist Church located at 15 Marble Place in Tuckahoe, New York. The walk will celebrate the life of Valerie Murray, who religiously walked for exercise.

Rye: Rye Derby Celebrates 25 Years
Place: Rye, Purchase Street to Rye YMCA
When: Saturday, April 27 run starts at 10:15 a.m.
Description: The Derby is the Rye YMCA's most important annual fundraiser. Olympic runners will be participating in the race and they will be honoring three-time Olympian and former Rye resident Eamonn Coghlan.
Runners can choose between a 5K race and a 5 mile USA Track & Field sanctioned race. Both races start at 10:15 am; a 1 mile family fun run/walk starts at 12:15 pm. Several world class athletes as well as local runners are expected to participate in the race. Medals are given to championship race winners in their age groups and there is a cash purse for the top 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the 5 mile race. Starting at 10:30 am, runners and families are invited to gather at the Rye Y for free activities including active games, jumping castle, live music and a BBQ.
