James Lipton, venerable Pace University founding dean and "Inside the Actors Studio" host to live blog 85th Annual Academy Awards.

Part of the office Oscar pool? Think Ben Affleck got snubbed? Can't wait to see what Seth MacFarlane cooks up? Then you know that what happens at the Oscars is only part of the story.

On Sunday night get the inside scoop at AOL.com when Pace University legend James Lipton lives blogs the 85th Annual Academy Awards. Lipton will offer the kind of insider perspective only he can, pulling from his 19 seasons as host of Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio."

Over the years Lipton has interviewed greats including Robert DeNiro, Paul Newman, and Anjelica Huston. The venerable hosts draws on his own varied career as an actor, writer, producer, and director to delve into the creative process and lives of the biggest stars of our time.

Lipton spends two weeks preparing as many as 400 of those famous blue cards he uses during his 90-minute interviews, learning everything he can about his guests before showtime. Pace University students in the Actors Studio Drama School master's program attend the interviews.

Lipton started "Inside the Actors Studio" in 1994, shortly after launching the Actors Studio Drama School of Pace University with colleagues. Lipton is the founding dean of the school, which is now the largest graduate drama school in the country. Pace has campuses in Pleasantville, White Plains, and Manhattan.

Follow James Lipton's live Oscar blog for AOL.com on Sunday, Feb. 24 beginning at 6:30 p.m. when AOL editors blog the red carpet before the show.
