Gallery 52 Presents Charcoal Drawings by Portrait Artist Ed Salazar

Gallery 52, a custom framing gallery specializing in fine framing and fine art, will feature portrait artist Ed Salazar creating original charcoal drawings on Saturday, May 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., by appointment, at the Gallery (outside, weather permitting). The public will be able to purchase their charcoal drawings at the cost of $50 per person, per drawing. Sessions will be scheduled for 30 minutes to 1 hour. (Purchase is not required to participate.)

WHEN: Saturday, May 26, 2012 (9 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Sessions 30 minutes to an hour, by appointment.

WHERE: Gallery 52, 52 Purchase Street, Rye NY (outside, weather permitting)

 ABOUT THE ARTIST: A graduate of St. Petersburg College, Florida, Mr. Salazar developed his skills as a portrait artist painting in the classical tradition with renowned artists such as Nelson Shanks at the New York Academy of Art and with Everett Raymond Kinstler and Max Ginsburg at the Art Students League of New York. Mr. Salazar is a member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, has served on the Leadership Team of the New York Society of Portrait Artists (both affiliated with the American Society of Portrait Artists) and as a member of the American Society of Classical Realism.

ABOUT GALLERY 52: Located in the center of downtown Rye, Gallery 52 specializes in fine custom framing. Gallery owner Beverly Sansone, an expert in design and master framer, has been serving the Rye community for more than 25 years. She has built a reputation as a trusted source for interior designers, art collectors, and a local clientele who need museum quality framing and restoration services as well as in-home installations.

The Gallery represents and exhibits original art by well-known local artists, and commissions work for clients from artists and photographers.
