GALLERY 52 IN RYE PRESENTS PORTRAIT ARTIST ED SALAZAR CREATING CHARCOAL PORTRAITS FOR PUBLIC
Get your or your child's portrait done in charcoal by a renowned portrait artist
RYE, NY (July 10, 2012): Gallery 52, a custom framing gallery specializing in fine framing and fine art, will feature portrait artist Ed Salazar creating original charcoal drawings on Saturday, July 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., by appointment, at the Gallery. Purchase is not required, but the subject will be able to purchase their own portraits at the cost of $100 per person, per drawing. (Mr. Salazar also does portraits of pets and works in oil as well as charcoal.)

WHEN: Saturday, July 14, 2012 (10 am to 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm). Sessions will be scheduled for 30 minutes to 1 hour, by appointment.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: A graduate of St. Petersburg College, Florida, Mr. Salazar developed his skills as a portrait artist painting in the classical tradition with renowned artists such as Nelson Shanks at the New York Academy of Art and with Everett Raymond Kinstler and Max Ginsburg at the Art Students League of New York. Mr. Salazar is a member of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists, has served on the Leadership Team of the New York Society of Portrait Artists (both affiliated with the American Society of Portrait Artists) and as a member of the American Society of Classical Realism.
