2011 Westchester County Car, Truck & 4x4 Show

Chrome, steel and horsepower will be on display as the big wheels keep on turning at the Playland Car, Truck and 4x4 Show on Sunday, Oct. 2, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the park in Rye.

The show will feature displays of a wide variety of classic and collectible cars, street rods, motorcycles and vintage trucks, all carefully restored to mint condition or modified for performance. The show’s Third Annual Willy’s Round Up will include Jeeps and passenger cars from the historic American car maker with a cash prize for the top vehicle. 

The Westchester Street Rod Association will present more than 100 trophies to the best vehicles -- classified by decades up to modified 2008. For information on entering a car or bike, call (914) 946-3198 or (914) 632-7956.

DeDona Enterprises will sponsor a competition of outstanding vehicles including 4x4s, SUVs, custom trucks and motorcycles. Sixty trophies will be presented to the “Best in Show” vehicles. Call (914) 965-4444 to participate.

Register your vehicle for the show from 8 a.m. to noon. Registration fee is $20 per entry.

Admission is free for spectators.

There is a parking fee of $5 per car.

In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.

The show is sponsored by Westchester County Parks, the Westchester Street Rod Association and DeDona Enterprises.
