Woman's Club of Rye, Children's Philanthropy, Hosts Annual Rug Sale

An announcement from The Woman's Club of Rye.

Annual Rug Sale

Saturday February 9th and Sunday February 10th

10 AM – 4 PM

Rye Middle School

Beat the February doldrums by sprucing up your home with a great new rug!  The holidays are over and we are all tired of the snow, the ice, and the flu.  It’s time to do some spring-cleaning and renew our décor.

This year The Woman’s Club of Rye and Caravan Connection are teaming up again to bring you the finest collection of Transitional, Contemporary and Traditional rugs in all sizes.  The selection features all sizes and price points.  Caravan Connection, owners Mike and Mary Lynn McRee, is a fine rug purveyor located in Bedford Hills, NY and has been in business since 1979.  They are both extremely knowledgeable and can assist you in choosing the absolute best rug for any room in your house.  They rate all rugs on a scale of 1 – 10 based on knot count, wool quality, density and aesthetics.   Mike will personally visit your home to see where you are looking to put a rug, take measurements, and then make recommendations.  This service can save you hours of time since it’s easy to become overwhelmed with all of the choices available, especially when making a fairly long -term commitment.

The Woman’s Club of Rye, Children’s Philanthropy, has partnered with Caravan Connection for over 15 years on this, one of its’ largest fundraisers.  A portion of the sales is distributed amongst qualified Rye Children’s programs funded by The Woman’s Club every year.  Some of the grants given are to Rye Nature Center, Rye YMCA, Kids’ Space, Rye/Port Chester EMS, Rye Arts Center, Rye Free Reading Room,  Rye Youth Council, Rye Historical Society, and Rye Recreation.  The group also donates Thanksgiving, Holiday and Spring Break Food gift certificates and Holiday gifts to those in need.

Please stop by The Annual Rug Sale and support our local organizations and treat yourself to a home uplift!  Saturday and Sunday, February 9th and10th, 10 AM – 4 PM both days at Rye Middle School, Parsons St., Rye.

The Woman’s Club of Rye is an all-volunteer organization.  If you are interested in learning more about us, our fundraisers or joining our group contact:  Young Kim, Co-Chair, ylkim@optonline.net.
