Parents will lead “Walking School Buses” and students will be encouraged to walk or bike to school during Walk to School Week Oct. 7 - 11.
Walk to School Week Rye is scheduled to coincide with International Walk to School Day (October 9), a global event that involves communities from more than 40 countries walking and biking to school. It is sponsored locally by the Rye YMCA and the parent-led Safe Routes to School Committee.

ll students who walk or bike to school, or walk the equivalent distance during the day, will be given fun incentives.
