Town of Rye Remembers 9/11 at Rye Town Park

This morning officials and community members gathered at Rye Town Park to remember the legacy of 9/11.

The sun continued its morning ascent over the Long Island Sound, but today officials representing the Town of Rye and Villages of Mamaroneck and Port Chester, among others gathered below at Rye Town Park to honor the tenth anniversary of those lost on September 11, 2001. 

American Legion Post #93 led a wreath presentation and three rifle salute from the Rifle Honor Guard as their bugler played a solemn rendition of Taps.
