Senator Gillibrand Honors Goldstein with Prestigious Angel In Adoption Award

Rye Brook adoption director Joy Goldstein will be honored in DC.

Joy Goldstein, executive director of (FFTA), a private, non-profit, adoption placement agency and resource center located in Rye Brook, has been selected by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to receive the prestigious 2012 ‘Angel in Adoption’ award. The Angels in Adoption award is presented by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) and provides an opportunity for all members of the U.S. Congress to select honorees who exemplify the goals and values of the program, of raising awareness about children in need of a permanent loving family.

Recipients are chosen based on their commitment to improving the lives of children in need of permanent loving homes, and are honored for their dedication to adoption and positive child welfare practices. Goldstein will be honored by members of Congress at a gala celebration in September in Washington D.C. along with other recipients chosen nationally.

As an adoptive parent of three sons and an adoption professional with over 25 years experience, Goldstein co-founded FFTA in 2007 to realize her goal of not only serving children in need, but also to increase positive adoption awareness, empower families and serve the community.
