Rye Town, City Budget Votes; Winter Solstice; Shopping

Five things you need to know to start your week, Dec. 17-23.

1. Blind Brook Board of Education Meeting

From BB School District: The Board of Education will hold a special public meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 8:00 PM in the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 390 North Ridge Street, Rye Brook, New York 10573.

The Board will immediately adjourn to Executive Session with the following agenda:

1. Federation Negotiations

It is not expected that the Board of Education will enter into a regular meeting after the Executive Session is concluded.

 

2. Rye Town Officials to Discuss Budget and Job Cuts

The Rye Town officials will discuss and vote on a reduced 2013 budget that will cut six jobs change two full-time positions to part-time during their monthly meeting on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Rye Town Hall in the third floor meeting room.  Read more here.

3. City Council Meeting; Budget Vote

The city council will meet on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m., where they will discuss and vote on the 2013 budget proposal. Read more on the budget here, and read the full agenda for the meeting here

4. Winter Officially Begins

5. Christmas Shopping
