Hydrofracking Explored in Gasland Screening Tuesday

The controversial extraction process is explored in documentary followed by discussion with Assemblyman George Latimer.

With New York State's current regulations for hydrofracking currently under debate, it seems everyone wants to learn more about the implications of the controversial oil and gas extraction process.

Westchester for Change, which organizes events related to "progressive social and political change" around the county, will host a screening next Tuesday, September 20 of the Academy Award winning, Emmy Award nominated documentary Gasland. The film examines the impact hydrofracking has had on communities across the country.

The group hopes all members of the community will attend.
