Happy Easter! Share Your Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny and Easter Bonnet Photos

This Sunday, March 31, is the Easter holiday, when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. Many celebrate Easter by attending mass in the morning and gathering with family afterwards.

Easter is always accompanied by colored eggs- egg hunts, Cadbury creme eggs, plastic eggs with jelly beans, chocolate bunnies and other sweet treats. It is believed the Easter egg symbolizes the empty tomb of Jesus. An egg appears to be like a stone tomb, but a bird then hatches from it, like Jesus rose from the grave.

This year, two groups are holding Easter Egg hunts on Saturday in Rye.
