Chess Tournament for Children in Rye


The Rye Free Reading Room will be having a chess tournament on Saturday, February 1st sponsored by the Auxiliary Board of the Rye Free Reading Room for players ages six to fourteen at all skill levels. Registration will begin at 10:15am and the tournaments will start at 10:30am.

 

Tom Levine, who has conducted these annual tournaments for years, will once again referee the round-robin play and award book prizes to the top three players.

Participants should bring a chess set and a snack and expect to play four rounds.
