Free fireworks display seasonal finale goes out with a bang at 9:15 p.m. at Rye
Port Chester Cares Community Coalition will show free film performance of “Despicable Me” during 6:30-9:30 program at PC High School’s Ryan Stadium. Program will include free popcorn and water. PCCCC will also sell baked goods, snacks and beverages to create al fresco picnic atmosphere before curtain goes up on animated comedy flick.
“Despicable Me” is about the “World’s Greatest Criminal” being out to pull off the “World’s Greatest Crime” (a theft of the moon) until three young girls show the hood he has the capability of being the “World’s Greatest Father.” Voice overs feature Steve Carrell and Julie Andrews.
