The Rye Record's Version of February 2014

More Fact Checking Needed?
So uhhhh, if you got a calendar in the mail that the Rye Record was kind enough to send to you as a Rye household for 2014 - better proof-read it. Because, apparently neither they nor their printer did.

The attached photo was sent to me by a friend. (I never got the calendar.)

It seems that February 2014 is actually still February 2013.

The Rye Record. Always checking their work and making sure they've got the facts right...

Robin must have left her ID home tonight because she didn't get into the B.A.R. ====================================== To Peter I understand that Councilman Slack now knows how to pronounce your name properly. I believe it is E-What-A-Loser. ====================================== Hopefully you sell your newspaper to some real journalists who are honest and credible and then go back to wherever it is you came from. You have made fools of yourselves, damaged Rye and now it's time for you to hit the road.

Robin J. steamed outta there pronto as soon as she found out the Rye Wreckord didn't get any nod. I wonder how she's now going to write a story about everything that happened at the meeting after that? Oh, right, she can just make it up or pretend nothing else occurred at the meeting. It was sweet sweet justice to see Mr. Slack get up there to sit on the dais after seeing the way he was ridiculed a few months back by then-sitting City Council Member Jovanovich. Did Robin J. lose a spot on the BAR or was she not up for renewal yet? RyeDad...is that "newspaper" up for sale?

So I went back and checked, and it does indeed look like not only did the Rye Record get left in the dust as even the "alternate" designated official city newspaper (and realistically, the Council just had no choice based on the criteria that had to be met), but also that four people were appointed to the BAR and Robin J. who was up for renewal was not one of them, so she got frozen out on that one too. And to top it off, Richard Slack, the man who was so stunningly mocked by Peter Jovanovich last year for not *quite* pronouncing PJ's last name correctly - and was told from the dais by PJ to practice saying it correctly - is now sitting up on that very dais himself while PJ was shot down in his bid for Mayor this year. Talk about sweet sweet justice. Karma has a way of coming back to bite you in the you-know-what and when you put forth such unmitigated arrogance people have a way of putting you back in your place eventually. So much for their "influence" in town. OWCHA-MA-CHOWCHA.

Peter Jovanovich, Practice pronouncing his name. COUN-CIL-MAN SLACK.

It will be interesting to see how the Rye Record covers THAT one.

Great video Heal. I think it really shows what a pompous, arrogant, ignorant piece of crap Jovanovich is.

Funny how there was no "editorial error" in the Rye Record this go around... Last time Robin Jovanovich reported the appointment of Councilwoman Killian almost two weeks prior to it happening... http://www.myrye.com/my_weblog/2012/05/rye-record-error-reports-killian-as-council-pick.html

Oy. I'd missed that one back when it happened. What a hot mess.

she said "hot mess" -- such imagery

HA! Was trying to keep it clean, lol. Other more descriptive expressions came to mind first.

The Rye City Review has just put out a comprehensive article on the whole Playland/SPI/Field Zone thing. Way more informative than anything you'd get from the Wreckord. Online Link to come shortly....
