The "Astonishing" SPI Letter released.

“In a letter to the county dated April 9th, SPI said that they would not be returning to committee meetings, stating, “Lack of a cohesive overall county view of what Playland should be has left SPI and its operators at a loss as to where to turn next. What is needed at this stage is for all those involved at the county level…to give clear direction to SPI on how they want Playland Park…to be configured in the future.”

BOL Chairman Michael Kaplowitz said, “This is astonishing. The County Executive chose SPI in the first place because of SPI’s vision for Playland. The problem is not SPI’s or the County’s vision, the problem is SPI’s inability or unwillingness to provide answers to the critical parking/traffic, environmental and financial concerns.””
