Teens from Judah Chapter of BBYO Cook for Low Income Elderly

On Tuesday, November 26, the Greater Greenwich BBYO Chapter (known as Judah BBYO) cooked 60 meals at Temple Sholom for elderly residents living in McKinney Terrace, a local housing facility.  Along with the meals, the teens sent Thanksgiving cards and gift bags. 

Judah BBYO is the greater Greenwich chapter of BBYO, an international Jewish youth group. The Judah Chapter was founded in the Fall of 2012.  Judah BBYO is comprised of 8th-12th grade Jewish teens from the greater Greenwich Community (including Stamford and Rye Brook), and all Jewish teens, regardless of Synagogue affiliation, are welcome to join. Meetings are held every other Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm at Temple Sholom, 300 East Putnam Avenue, and once a month we have a local program on a Saturday night or Sunday. Members are also encouraged to participate in the monthly regional programs, such as conventions and service learning trips. BBYO also partners with organizations such as AIPAC and JTeen.
