Rye's AP Art History Students Explore the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Ms. Sara Charles’ AP Art History class recently enjoyed a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The class, which was culminating a unit on the ancient and classical world, paid specific attention to the museum’s ancient and classical collections. Students were asked to complete a comparative assignment on how the depiction of the human body has changed over time in art, and also enjoyed participating in a scavenger hunt designed by Ms. Charles, highlighting key pieces in the museum’s vast collection.
