More than 100 people, some coming as far away as Canada, recently attended Lyme Research Alliance’s second Lyme Awareness briefing and cocktail reception hosted by Mercedes-Benz of White Plains.
One of the attendees was Rye’s Thomas Cofino. At the cocktail reception he, like the other attendees, chatted with Lyme experts, including featured speakers Kenneth Liegner, M.D., a Pawling, NY Lyme specialist and internist, and Kim Lewis, Ph.D., of Northeastern University. During the briefing, Dr. Lewis talked about some current cutting-edge Lyme research studies and told attendees: “Encouraging things are happening with Lyme research.”
Lyme Research Alliance is the nation’s largest private funder of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases research at major universities.
Proceeds from the event go to fund Lyme and other tick-borne disease research.
