Milton Family Reading Night

Over 100 pajama-wearing Milton Elementary School students and their family members gathered in the school auditorium on a recent October evening for Family Reading Night. The theme was "Happy Birthday," in honor of the Rye Free Reading Room's (RFRR) 100th birthday this year. Chris Shoemaker, Director of the RFRR, joined the celebration and invited the children to explore the library. David Walker, a Milton dad, wowed the children with his animated readings of two birthday-themed books. After singing “Happy Birthday,” everyone enjoyed milk and cookies!
