The Rye Farmers Market appears to be a very profitable venutre for the operators of Down to Earth Farmers Market and their 20 or so vendors.
Certainly, Down to Earth Farmers, apparently a for profit company, charges a good amount of money to the 20 or so vendors for the opportunity to sell their products.
What is the City of Rye's take for allowing Down to Earth Farmers to rent City of Rye taxpayer owned property to their 20 or so vendors?
$1 per year.
How many inspections has the City of Rye performed in the last 7 years or so to make sure everything is on the up and up?
Zero.
This not a Grandma and Grandpa Jones type of farmers market. It seems to be very profitable for a lot of people except Rye's taxpayers.
Is there money or other benefits going into other peoples pockets to get this sweet deal for Down to Earth Farmers Market and their vendors?
