CYP BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 3/23-3/27

While the sports community will spend March focused on NCAA Basketball, the potential stars of future Final Fours will be playing in the intimate confines of the CYP Gym at Our Lady of Mercy on Washington St. in Port Chester. The 68th Annual H.S. All-Star Tournament, featuring some of the nation’s premier AAU teams Rivers and finest HS stars from the tri-state region.

Sunday, March 23rd through Thursday March 27th, 2 games nightly, these stars will shine in the intimate confines of the CYP Gym which has a remarkable history of its own.

Big name players like Kyrie Irving, Meta World Peace, Stephon Marbury, Elton Brand, Moe Harkless, Lamar Odom, Kevin Jones, and back-in-the-day stars such as Ed Pinkney, Nate Archibald, Pearl Washington and Billy Cunningham have all made appearances in this Port Chester gym in the past.

Recent participants have included Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick (runner-up All-American Athletic Conference player of the year), Russ Smith (Louisville’s leading scorer), Felix Balamou and Christopher Obekpa who attend St. John’s and last year’s MVP Isaiah Whitehead, one of the top ten college recruits in the country.

This year’s Tournament will be no different, as the participating teams are chock-filled with nothing less than All-Star Metropolitan talent.

Come down and cheer your local favorites on to Victory! 2 Games per night- beginning at 7 PM. Tickets available at the door for only $5 per person.  Snack bar will be open.
