Welcome To CharlieDog and Friends, Where Being A Lonely Shelter Pet Ends!

Rye, NY – Are you looking for a lifelong companion for yourself or your family? Do you like to donate to local charities?  Do you wish you could do more for the animal shelters in your area?  Do you think your perfect pet could be waiting for you right now at one of these shelters? If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then CharlieDog and Friends is for you!

Welcome to CharlieDog and Friends -- the world's first soft toys (standard line SRP $35 with a $5 donation to local animal rescue group or shelter) based on real-life shelter adoption and rescue animals. We believe we can change the way kids ask for their first family pet.   Maybe you've rescued your dog or cat (or bunny). Maybe you come across a request online for donations to a shelter, a rescue, and you can't say no. Maybe you volunteer, or just help spread the word that shelter pets make the world's best friends. Maybe it comes down to a credo so simple: "Don't Shop. Adopt".

CharlieDog and Friends was created with a double mission: make the highest-quality stuffed animals, base on real-life shelter adoption success stories. Tell their stories with colorful hangtags that also point the way to the pets' websites and rescue causes; show the eminent adoptability and adorability of these animals. Most importantly, raise money for cash-strapped rescue groups and the shelters from which the real-life animals came.

For the fashionista in you, CharlieDog and Friends have Collar Bracelets which are Colorful, 100% cotton bracelets that look like your pet's collar -- but they're for you! Embroidered with the simple word, "Adopt", and in brilliant Michael Miller prints, they're easy to snap on and off with their frosty white or black plastic side-release buckle and adjuster. Suitable for children and adults, each purchase (they're SRP $10 each) sparks a $3 donation to our "Rescue of the Month", featured on our cover page. There's nothing like our bracelets out there, and you'll soon be having the chance conversation with a stranger about how you each chose your rescue pet.

CharlieDog and Friends recognizes that an overwhelming number of dogs in shelters are pit bulls, and so we're introducing our collection of "Pocket Pitties” (pricing yet to be determined) to celebrate the diversity of these much-misunderstood, colorful, loving pets -- and they fit in your pocket!

Additionally, we are donating one identical plush toy for every toy purchased, from now until December 15, to a community toy drive in Virginia.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Let's look at the appropriateness of this post. First, it's clearly an ad because it points to aRead More specific insurance agent at a specific agency to contact. Second, it attempts to hide being an ad behind what may be useful information (or not). Third, the "person" who posted it doesn't use their real name. Instead, they use a pseudonym Divorce Information NOW. That doesn’t seem terribly reassuring to me. This the third advertising post on the “announcements” space since Rye Patch converted to the new site layout. Seems a bit of a mess to me. But hopefully someone will come along and figure out who the real poster is, their link to the advertised agent and agency, and then delete the post. After all, if it’s an ad, it should be labeled as such and the poster should pay for having it run. If that doesn’t happen, Patch won’t be able to pay its employees to keep real content on the site.

Don't feel so bad. The Patch doesn't even acknowledge that PC is a waterfront community. We've allRead More been shorted.
