Friends of Rye Town Park undertook their first planting project of 2011 with the help of seven Milton School students - members of Cub Scout Den 7 (part of Rye Pack 2) and Brownie Troop 2823. A slight drizzle didn't dampen the enthusiasm of these young gardeners who planted impatiens to dress up the park entrance on the corner of Forest and Rye Beach Avenues. Now as they pass by and see the colorful beds they can be proud of the part they played in beautifying the park. Many thanks to the scout leaders and their troop members! Visit www.friendsofrtp.org for more photos of the scouts in action.
