A New Beginning - Rye City Hall - Jan 5 2014

January 5, 2014 – Rye City Hall – 11AM. For those who slipped and slid their ways across Rye’s dangerous ice covered roads and sidewalks to City Hall this morning, the new council (and County Legislator Parker’s) swearing in ceremonies were heartwarming and refreshing. Unlike so many prior such ceremonies in Rye this one was devoid of themes of self satisfaction or triumphal self congratulation for being of - and on - a ‘winning team.” To these local council victor’s apparently belong the more selfless spoils of humility, service and self reflection overtly underscored by family and faith. What a revolution if they actually follow through. Mayor Sack’s acceptance speech text will no doubt soon make its way into print but in advance of that let me paraphrase it’s over arching themes of the reestablishment of truth, transparency and trust in Rye government. Again more revolutionary than it superficially sounds. And to which, may I simply add, let us pray. A new beginning indeed.

Although I am very optimistic, if Mayor Sack and the others on the Rye City Council don't get rid of Pickup, Wilson and Nodarse ASAP, nothing is going to change at Rye City Hall. These three incompetent creeps will never change.

So did they serve hot beverages or other refreshments?? Did POSL sue anyone??
Deirdre Curran January 06, 2014 at 10:56 AM
There were lots of yummy refreshments provided Louse, however the icy roads were so bad at that point in the day that I personally had to hi-tail it out of there to finish dog walks before it got any worse. Bummer, because it was a nice variety and all smelled delicious. The ceremony was actually very nice. Let's hope that good will can carry forward...my favorite part of the speech was of course when Mayor Sack mentioned that he and his family recently adopted an older dog. High five for that one Joe & Family. Older dogs have a hard time finding new homes when they need it. Anyone that does that is okay in my book.

It is a most kind act to adopt an older dog so kudos to the Sacks for doing so. Now let's see how fast he can clean house as Ryedad alludes to although the city clerk was always competent and neutral in my opinion so I don't know why she keeps getting thrown under the bus here. ************************Thanks DC for the report! No POSL sightings or was his public spanking by FT too much for him to handle? (I'm sure his tolerance for humiliation & embarrassment though is off the charts so he will be back soon). His absence I'm sure will be explained as he was to busy with the CES show in Vegas signing lucrative deals so that we can all keep enjoy watching TV

No city clerk in my knowledge has survived public exposure of making a false statement under oath to a court of competent jurisdiction. And I've run a lot of court and community newspapers so this is not idle conjecture. http://www.lausdeo10580.com/lausdeo10580/2013/08/pickup-feasted-on-champagne-and-caviar-at-rye-golfworked-with-yandrasevich-to-conceal-queens-cocktail-party-from-police.html

Valid point! Why no follow up though if this was so serious? Cover up? Conspiracy? In the grand overall picture was the clerk the captain of this ship?
tedc January 06, 2014 at 03:24 PM
Follow up? That might lead to consequences. And those might lead to insiders fingering higher up's who directed municipal crimes. And in present day Rye that cannot be allowed to happen. In fact Scott Yandresevich is apparently COUNTING ON IT. Oh, wait. There's a new administration now promising accountability. How strange that sounds.

City Clerk Nodarse signed a false sworn affidavit and submitted it to Westchester County Supreme Court to help the City of Rye win a FOIL Lawsuit. Nodarse knew records of Suzy Morrison's party at the Rye Golf Club existed, in fact she created them, yet she swore under oath under penalty of perjury that no records existed. ====================================== A criminal complaint was filed with Connors alleging Felony Perjury against Nodarse. Connors did NOTHING. The questions should be directed to Connors as to why.
RyeDad January 06, 2014 at 03:42 PM
And let's not forget a Rye Police Officer lying under oath numerous times (Perjury) in Rye City Court while Corporation Counsel Wilson did nothing about it except being untruthful in her own representations to the Rye City Court. ====================================== It's time for Rye to arrest this lying cop and to throw Wilson, Pickup and Nodarse to the curb with the rest of the garbage.

such a mess this was. let's hope & pray that this new regime can clean it up swiftly & justly
Deirdre Curran January 07, 2014 at 08:19 AM
Agreed LD.
