Reasons People Have Trouble Meditating & Why They Should Give It A Try For At Least 30 Days! Pt. 2 by Amy Reissner Holistic RN

Reasons People do not try to meditate & Terrific benefits to trying it! FOR AT LEAST 30DAYS!!

I have worked with a variety of people, both one-on-one and in groups who feel that they just can't meditate for various reasons. They can't:

1-Sit still

2-Focus their mind

3-Let go of all the thoughts that they have running around in their head

4-Not be productive and let go of their To-Do List

5-Find the time

6-Understand the benefits

7-Create the setting

As a long time meditator, I think the benefits are many. Some of the benefits of meditating are:

1-Feeling peaceful, calm & emotionally-centered (not to be confused with tired!)

2-Enhances mental clarity and ability to focus

3-Provides solutions to problems

4-Increases productivity

5-Boosts immune system, energy, strength & vigor

6-Enhances the healing process & optimizes any treatment plan

7-Enables you to be in the moment with people, or any situation (after a period of time)

8-Allows you to appreciate your life & relationships

9-Improved performance in school, atheletics & public appearances

10-Reduces PMS

11-Harmonizes the endocrine system

12-Helps with weight loss

13-Great for the respiratory system-lowers oxygen consumption, lowers B/P

14-Reduces anxiety

15-Enhances fertility

16-Builds self-confidence

17-Develops inner wisdom & intuition

18-Greater tolerance

19-Increases life's opportunities (able to see beyond what is in front of you)

20-Creates a deeper spiritual relationship & a feeling on 'Oneness'

If this peaks your interest, as there are so many more benefits than what I listed, then there is no reason not to give meditation a try. According to Stephen Covey, it takes 30 days to either add a new positive habit or stop a negative habit!

If you feel that you need some help getting started, my next blog will share an easy method for you to try at home!

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Let's look at the appropriateness of this post. First, it's clearly an ad because it points to aRead More specific insurance agent at a specific agency to contact. Second, it attempts to hide being an ad behind what may be useful information (or not). Third, the "person" who posted it doesn't use their real name. Instead, they use a pseudonym Divorce Information NOW. That doesn’t seem terribly reassuring to me. This the third advertising post on the “announcements” space since Rye Patch converted to the new site layout. Seems a bit of a mess to me. But hopefully someone will come along and figure out who the real poster is, their link to the advertised agent and agency, and then delete the post. After all, if it’s an ad, it should be labeled as such and the poster should pay for having it run. If that doesn’t happen, Patch won’t be able to pay its employees to keep real content on the site.

Don't feel so bad. The Patch doesn't even acknowledge that PC is a waterfront community. We've allRead More been shorted.
