Student Nairobi Exhibit Opens at RAC; Lotto Winner Has 3 More Days

 Unclaimed Lotto Ticket Expires Aug. 25

The winner of the lotto ticket sold at Playland Market in Rye a year ago will lose his or her chance to claim their $1 million win if they don’t find the ticket by Aug. 25.

Rye Arts Center Nairobi Exhibit

The RAC opens a new exhibit Aug. 22 that features a photo essay by Regis High School senior Luke Passannante from his community service trip with St. Aloysius Gonzaga High School students in Nairobi, who have lost parents to the AIDs epidemic. He documents life in the Kibera slum, the second largest slum in sub-Sahara Africa. The Opening Reception will be held on Aug. 28.

Rye YMCA’s Maintenance Continues

The work is part of annual maintenance and deep cleaning throughout the Y that will last until Sept. 2.
