Join us for a fun evening of history and cocktails where we get to touch, see and marvel at how women used to live and dress.
Our first evening will "Unlace the Victorian Woman". Starting with the outer dress, we'll work our way through the many layers worn by women all the way down to her unmentionables. Along the way, we'll learn about women's role in Victorian Society, her daily routines, social customs and etiquette.

More About Rye Historical Society
The Rye Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history of Rye. The historical society offers educational programming for all ages as well as exhibits art and artifacts from its own collection and from other local artists. The organization is based in the Square House on Purchase Street.
Formerly a tavern, the Square House was opened as a museum in 1967. The museum houses many exhibits a large collection of artifacts, dating back to 1660.
