 tion will be held on Saturday\, March 24\, 2012 at 3 p.m.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\
 ;According to her artist&rsquo\;s statement\, Rosalind Brenner&rsquo\;s
art\, both process and result\, is an expression of a mining of observat
 ion\, exploration of symbol\, color\, form\, shape\, imagery and wild im
 aginings.&nbsp\; Mixing mediums\, she achieves a tactility and fluidity\
, layering\, building on the play between depth and two-dimensionality.\
n&nbsp\;In her visual art she will often start with words\, which become
a calligraphic design element of the work\, no longer readable\, but ad
ding a curious mix of in and out that draws forth a deep observation of
the picture plane as she layers it further. Her poetry is lyric and narr
ative and creates a visual feast as she shapes words into imagistic land
scape. The work evolves into strength of statement as well as a field in
to which to travel.\n&nbsp\;\nBrenner&rsquo\;s poetry has been published
in The Cortland Review\, Poetrybay\, Long Island Sounds\, The Southampt
on Review\, Walt&rsquo\;s Corner in The Long Islander\, Taproot Journal\
, Performance Poets Association Literary Review\, Ontologica\, and in Ar
royo Literary Review\, among others.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; It is included in Cav
e Moon Press&rsquo\; anthology of poems against hunger\, Broken Circles.
