Local Business Doing Doggone Good Deed

This Saturday the Pet Pantry Warehouse in Rye is offering some great discounted services to raise money for therapeutic dog training.

It's not yet the dog days of summer, but the Pet Pantry Warehouse in Rye is holding an event this Saturday that will surely make you and your pup smile.

Vice president Joshua Roth said the store is raising money for the Good Dog Foundation, a non-profit organization that trains and certifies therapeutic dogs to work in hospitals, senior living facilities, and other scenarios.

"We are going to have a local groomer offering $20 shampoo and towel dry washes for dogs, a cool “design-your-own biscuit box” for kids to draw and design blank boxes filled with dog biscuits, and then we will be offering 10% off to the customer for the day, as well as donating 10% of our proceeds from Rye for the day to go to the GDF," said Roth.

So why not load the dog and the kids into the car? Let someone else scrub Fido while the kids have a little fun, and raise money for a good cause for extra measure.
