The Rye City School District unveiled its 2011-2012 calendar at Tuesday's Board of Education meeting.

For parents who have been waiting to schedule a family vacation during winter and spring breaks, the calendar outlines exactly what days school is in session.

Mid-winter recess will take place from Feb. 20-24. Spring break is April 6-13. 

The final day of school will be June 21. However, snows days could cause students to be in school for a few extra days in may than they expected. 

According to the calendar, if the district has to use three snow or emergency days, then schools will be open on May 25 and May 29.
