The Children's Philanthropy Section of The Woman's Club of Rye is sponsoring its Annual Outdoor Family Portraits during September and October.  Renowned Westchester photographer, Carroll Hudders, will once again take family photographs in scenic locations in Rye, as he has done for almost twenty years.  Bring your dog, dress your children in their sports jerseys, dress fancy or casual!  This is a terrific way to get your Holiday Cards or gifts done early while doing something wonderful for your community.

Reservations can be made at Rye Recreation on Friday, Sept. 17^th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 18^th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon.

The dates and locations for the photography are: Sept. 19^th and 26^th, at The Rye Nature Center; Oct. 3^rd, 10^th, 11^th, 17^th, and 24^th at Rye Town Park.

The Children's Philanthropy is a volunteer organization of about 50 women.  It sponsors many different fundraising events throughout the year such as the Outdoor Family Portraits, Designing Women and the Rug Sale, to name a few.  All proceeds raised directly benefit many local children's organizations, such as Rye Recreation, Rye Free Reading Room, Rye Arts Center, Rye YMCA, Rye Youth Council, Rye Nature Center, Rye Historical Society, Kids S.P.A.C.E. and EMS.  Also, two High School Senior Awards are presented to two seniors for their commitment to the less fortunate children in our community.
